A few weekends ago, we went with some friends to a Rock Crawling Exhibition. It was on a Saturday and apparently there were many different groups showing what they could do in various locations around town. We went to the exhibition in the Robledo Mountains. It was SO much fun. They often have these competitions in Farmington but Paul and I have never been before. We were amazed at what the jeeps and trucks could do.
Not sure what Kyle is doing...

Michelle and I hoping none of the jeeps tip over!

This part was the 'big climb' of the day. The jeeps had to be wenched to a tree in order to make it up!!!

Here are some of the jeeps in the canyon awaiting their turn.
This little boy was so cute! He was just riding in his daddy's jeep with no fear, waving at the fans as he passed!!!We took some video footage of one of the jeepers crawling up this skinny crack. It took him a while but he made it!

After everything was done in our part of the canyon (and we were all wind blown and chilly!), we went home to eat lunch.
And, in closing, this is a picture of a massive turtle that lives at the museum in our mall. The poor little dear swims around in this tiny tank, getting covered by algae. It is the weirdest looking creature I have seen! It is called an alligator turtle. Check out how big he is. That is Kim's hand by it to show kind of how big he is!
