On March 15, 2008, Paul's dream of owning a scooter finally became a reality. We are the proud owners of a silver, Yamaha C3 Scooter!

He's been wanting to get one for a few months now. After selling Paul's car (which, luckily, was only on the market for TWO days before someone bought it!!!), we headed down to the Yamaha dealer and purchased this bike :).
This is a shot of the handlebars and speedometer. It has a top speed of about 45 MPH. Sometimes, Paul and I both ride it around the neighborhood. We can easily do about 35 MPH.
There is a 'trunk' underneath the seat.
It can only be opened with a key. It's pretty big, relatively speaking.

Here is Paul gearin' up to head back to work. He got the salesman at the dealer to throw in this free helmet. It's really nice!

This is the front and back view of the scooter. Paul parks it on the porch near the door, under the overhang. It is small enough to fit in our entryway when we go out of town. How cute, right?!
It has a center stand when not in use, which makes the back wheel sit a few inches off the ground.
And off he goes! It is so much fun! Very economical and environmentally friendly too :) We think America will catch up with the rest of the world and the scooter revolution...with about 100 miles to the gallon, how could you go wrong?!

I have a comment...Just did my first calculation on gas milage. Consumed 0.98 gals of fuel in 120 miles of travel...thats over 122 miles per gallan folks...you do the math...sweet.
pasha
paul, you look pretty hardcore on that scooter. wish my car got 122 mpg!!

I had a dream last night that you took you're scooter over to NA and tried to convert the peoples into buying one with your whole 122mpg speech and they said that they didn't need gas for their bicycles and you were so mad that you hadn't thought of that first...
