This past week I had the pleasure of joining my sister Kim on a trip to visit our oldest sister, Melanie, and her family. We had a fabulous time!!!
The day after we arrived just so happened to be Kim's 26th birthday! We celebrated with a French Toast picnic for breakfast, a lovely picnic on the beach for lunch, a super yummy dinner at Dixie Crossroads, and delicious cake that Mel made. Here is Kim with her presents. Her favorite gift was probably the Gremlins movie from Dad. Did I say favorite?...I meant scariest :)
Here is Brielle and Barry feeding the fish and turtles at Dixie Crossroads. She LOVES to see the fish!

The next day, we took a day trip to Daytona, FL to go to the mall. Bri had a slight nap on the way. Aunt Kimmie and Auntie (or Aunt Kimmy-Natty as we were called collectively!) took turns holding up her sweet head so she didn't get a cramp! The mall was fun and we even drove by the Daytona Speedway. It seems to be very massive!!

Brielle absolutely loves the water so it went without question that she had fun!

Splashing in the water is her favorite past time whether it be in the ocean, river, or bathroom sink!

The Nelson's being good citizens and rescuing some poor fishies that got stranded in a very hot pond.

On possibly the hottest day of the century, us girls ventured North to St. Augustine, FL. We had heard that it was a cool place to visit which turned out to be very true! However, we were dripping sweat as we enjoyed the sites!

Here is the Castillo de San Marcos. It was very beautiful and lots of cool history to learn about. St. Augustine is the oldest city in the USA.
After visiting the fort, we boarded the Ripley's Believe It or Not train to tour the rest of the city. We drove by many cool things that we would have liked to tour such as houses from the 1700's and the oldest house...but they were closed by the time we got around to them. This is definitely a place we would love to see again!
We proudly sported our bright orange train stickers!
The next day, after a short doctor's visit in Melbourne, we decided to go to Sebastian Inlet. Sebastian Inlet is where the river meets the ocean. Mel had heard that it was very beautiful. We gathered our bathing suits and got real excited to play in the water. The beauty of this place was definitely apparent but very masked by the ominous clouds coming our way :(
Brielle checking out the storm and the "mean thunder."

Saturday was a blast! Barry took us out on the river (which is much like the ocean!) on his boat.
It was a blast going "faster, faster" as Brielle would say! The dolphins were very playful and we were able to see quite a few which I was super pumped about. After touring the river and having no luck finding manatees, we found a small island where we set up our umbrellas for a relaxing afternoon.

Too bad...It would have been so fun! We attempted to wait out the storm but it continued to get worse. So we went shopping instead :)
Thanks for a great week Mel and Barry!!! I had a FABULOUS time. Miss you all!
